Perched high on a hill, hidden behind trees overlooking Nelly Bay, is Nahmahlu - named after a sacred watering hole in the Kimberleys. At Nahmahlu you will find Aboriginal paintings scattered throughout the property. Exposed beams transported to Australia by the American Government and sourced from an abandoned World War 2 Military establishment are simply magnificent.

Sweeping views of hills and native trees entangled with glimpses of the coral sea all combine to ensure peace and luxury are at the essence of Nahmahlu. Wake up with the sound of nature at your door step.
The naked beauty of the natural surroundings provide a unique contrast for the island.
Enter the main level through the original wooden to an expansive living area filled with exposed beams, original boulders and an abundance of natural light. You will feel almost instantly relaxed and at home
This area has a semi-commercial kitchen (with Smeg appliances), lounge, fireplace and entertaining area along with an internal dining area. Bifold doors lead you to the balcony that wraps the South face of the property. Here lies another dining area and further down the balcony, away from it all, an outdoor lounge setting with day beds.
From this level you have the choice to go up some stairs to the mezzanine level, otherwise known as the games room (complete with pool table). This area takes full advantage of the naked beauty of the natural surroundings. Enjoy an afternoon reading your book on the window seat and wait for the wallabies to appear.
Adjacent to this leads you to the accommodation quarters of Nahmahlu.
Two Queen sized bed rooms that spill on to verandahs are located opposite a state of the art bathroom with double shower.
Floating stairs lead you to the next level where another two queen sized rooms reside opposite each other. Both have stunning ensuites, bifold windows and or a private balcony.
The top floor of Nahmahlu holds the master suite with King Sized Bed, private terrace & African themed bathroom with double spa.
Alternatively from the main living area you can descend past the exposed boulder to the lower floor with another bedroom with 2 bunk beds and bathroom. This is the level where the laundry is located.
From here you enter the pool, outdoor shower, outdoor entertaining and bbq area.
The gas bbq is surrounded by unique outdoor furniture located within the pool area placed on different deck levels in order for you to enjoy as much or as little sun as you so desire. Getting to hot? Take a dip in the saltwater pool.
One thing is for sure, at Nahmahlu you wont be left wanting for anything.. other than more time to enjoy your escape.
